So, what is a model release? Here is all that you need to know to make an informed decision!
What Is a Model Release?
A model release is a legal document that gives a photographer permission to use the images from your boudoir session. The images are typically used for their portfolio, on their website, shared on social media, or any other marketing materials. It’s their way of getting your permission to share your boudoir photos!
Before you panic about your photos being shared, just know that YOU have FULL control over them. If you mark YES or sign the model release you are allowing your images to be shared, and if you don’t, they will NOT be shared. The decision is yours!! Feel empowered to do whatever YOU want.
Do You Have to Allow Your Images to Be Shared?
You NEVER HAVE to allow your images to be shared. The option to sign a model release is, 10000% yours. Boudoir is incredibly personal and intimate. You have every right to keep the images to yourself! Don’t ever feel pressured to allow your images to be shared if that is not what you want!
On the flip side, if you are okay with your images being shared, you can absolutely sign or say yes to the model release!
What Is an Anonymous Session?
Now, what if you are okay with your images being shared but don’t want your face or any identifiable features shared?! That’s okay too! This is where an anonymous session comes in! Only images WITHOUT your face or any other recognizable details will be shared! You get to share the beauty of your session while keeping your identity under wraps.
