I’m so excited to share Miss A’s boudoir session on the blog! As a Denver boudoir photographer, I always aim to provide my clients with an experience that leaves them feeling more empowered and beautiful than when they first walked in. By the time we wrapped up her boudoir shoot, Miss A left the studio with a whole new level of self-confidence! Before Miss A’s session, we worked together to find lingerie pieces that she would feel confident in and would align with her vision for her session. She totally nailed it! I am obsessed with how her boudoir images turned out!
Here’s what Miss A had to say about her experience working with me:
What excuses did you give yourself to try not to do a boudoir photoshoot?
“Probably the same that every woman tells herself, “I’ll do it when I lose weight”. But then I realized, this is for me. It’s for my husband who loves me just the way I am today, so let’s celebrate that!”
Why did you choose Melissa to do your boudoir shoot?
“I’d been following Melissa’s work for a while and was so in AWE of the beautiful images she shared of these amazing women – all looking so strong and confident and sexy and comfortable. I knew I would be in great hands with her, have a really fun day getting dolled up, and have something beautiful to show for it at the end!”
How was your experience during the boudoir shoot? Tell us all the things!
“I was a little nervous at first, but I’m also not shy to begin with. We had a great time chatting while I was getting ready, listening to music, and sipping champagne – so that helped! Melissa was so calm and easy-going and directed me through the whole thing. She even got down on the floor with me to show me the poses. Her being so involved with what I was doing made it so much more comfortable! I felt like I was with friends, instead of half-naked with strangers!”
Would you do a boudoir session again? If you did, would you do anything differently?
“I would 100% do it again! It’s almost like you HAVE to do it twice! I would LOVE to do another session now knowing what it feels like. Hopefully, I would allow myself to relax more and let a different side of my personality come through.”
How did you feel leaving the studio after your fabulous photoshoot, not having seen any of your photos yet?
“Empowered! I felt beautiful and invigorated and ready to take on the world. And ready to go see my hubby!”
